ABOUT DAYNA

I’m Dayna — founder of State of Performance, coach, and hybrid athlete.

With a background in competitive swimming, CrossFit, triathlon, and now professional bodybuilding, I know what it means to train hard, chase big goals, and evolve through every chapter of performance.

But it hasn’t always been smooth.

As a young athlete, I was unknowingly underfuelling — constantly training, constantly pushing, but never giving my body what it truly needed. That lack of knowledge caught up with me. I eventually ruptured my Achilles — a direct result of years spent overtraining and under-eating. It forced me to slow down, reassess, and shift direction.

That injury was a turning point. I stepped away from endurance sports and CrossFit and turned my focus inward — on rebuilding, recovering, and understanding how to truly support performance through strength training and proper fuelling. That path led me into bodybuilding, and in my very first show, I turned professional — something most people don’t achieve in a debut season.

But for me, it wasn’t about the title — it was about adapting, continuing to uphold my competitive nature and work with my body, not against it.

I bring that same mindset to the way I coach.

I’ve also worked as a Registered Nurse for 8 years (Orthopaedic/Rehabilitation), and I’m currently completing further studies in Sports Nutrition. This combination of clinical knowledge, real-world experience, and athletic performance gives me a unique lens when it comes to helping women thrive — physically, mentally, and hormonally.

Now, I help women who are ready to break the cycle of overtraining, under-eating, and spinning their wheels — and finally step into their strongest, most capable selves.

You don’t need to be an elite athlete to train like one. You just need a plan that works, a coach who truly gets it, and the courage to back yourself.
